Cristiano Ronaldo's Manchester United wasted many chances as they played out a goalless draw against lowly Watford at home in a Premier League match on Saturday.

Ronaldo failed to score an early goal as he hit the post in the fifth minute.

After the break, the Red Devils had a chance to break the deadlock but Anthony Elanga wasted the opportunity, firing the ball wide.

The result kept United at fourth place with 47 points, two points ahead of Arsenal. But the Gunners have three games in hand.

The two points loss might be significant in United's effort to qualify for the Champions League next season.
