Manchester City displayed a stunning comeback in the second half as Pep Guardiola's men handed Tottenham a 4-2 loss at the Etihad stadium to inch closer to table leaders Arsenal.

City overpowered the high-flying Spurs in the second half as Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland equalised Dejan Kulusevski and Emerson Royal's goals in the 51st and 53rd minute respectively. Haaland who was scoring his first goal in 4 games now has 22 goals in an ongoing season- the most by a player in a single Premier League season under Guardiola.

Mahrez who turned the game around by playing a part in both the previous goals, went on to score a brace to keep his side in the race for the top spot in the EPL table. The Citizens are 5 points away from Arsenal who sit atop the table.
