Premier League: Resilient Spurs restrict Manchester United; Newcastle, Bournemouth win

Resilient Tottenham Hotspur pulled off a stupendous fightback as they restricted the dominant Manchester United 2-2 in a thrilling encounter at home.

The hosts, Spurs brought back the match in the 2nd half as Pedro Porro and Son Heung Min levelled Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford's 7th and 44th-minute goal. 

The result sees, interim manager Ryan Mason's side move up the EPL table. They are now in the 5th spot just below Manchester United. 

In other results, Newcastle thrashed Everton 4-1 with Vallum Wilson scoring a brace, Joelinton and Jacob Murphy too scored for the Magpies as Dwight Mcneil got one back. 

Marcus Tavernier's 50th-minute goal helped Bournemouth hand Southampton a comfortable 1-0 loss.
