Liverpool snapped their three-match winless streak in the Premier League after they thrashed Brentford 3-0 on Sunday.

Liverpool were without their star players Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane but the stand-in strikers did the job for them.

Just before half-time, Liverpool took the lead and after the break, Brentford missed an easy chance to score the equaliser.

Brentford's chances to stage a comeback were ended in the 69th minute when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored the second goal and put his team 2-0 ahead.

Substitute Takumi Minamino sealed a victory for Liverpool in the 77th minute as he scored from close range.

After the win, Liverpool climbed to the second spot on the Premier League points table with 11 points behind the leaders Manchester City.
