Frank Lampard's 2nd stint with Chelsea began on a losing note as Wolverhampton Wanderers handed the Blues a 1-0 loss at the Molineux stadium.

Lampard who was sacked by the team in January 2021 had to face disappointment upon his return to the side as their interim manager.

While Chelsea struggled to cope at Molineux, Mathias Nunez scored a phenomenal goal in the 31st minute which also is his first in the league since joining the Wolves for a club-record deal of £42.2m.

This is Chelsea's third straight game in a row where they have failed to find the net. The grappling side is in the 11th spot in the EPL table.

Meanwhile, Tottenham's Son Heung Min & Harry Kane scored a goal each in the 2 halves to beat Brighton 2-1 in EPL. This was Son's 100th Premier League goal as he also became the first Asian to achieve the feat. The Spurs who are fighting for a top-four finish finished in the 5th spot.

Newcastle, too registered a victory against Brentford. While Ivan Toney hit a penalty and provided the lead to the Bees early, David Raya with an own goal equalised the game for the visitors. Alexander Isak then struck in the 61st minute to help the Magpies finish with a 2-1 scoreline.
