On a dramatic night at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea recovered from two goals down to play out a 2-2 draw against Liverpool in a high-octane Premier League encounter.
The drama started in the ninth minute when Sadio Mane capitalised on an error from Chelsea's defender, putting Liverpool 1-0 ahead.
Mohamed Salah, then, doubled the lead in the 26th minute as he lifted a pass from Trent Alexander-Arnold over the goalkeeper from a tight angle.
Being two goals down, the Blues battled their way back into the game in the 42nd minute when Mateo Kovacic scored a volley from the edge of the box.
Four minutes later, Christian Pullsic netted a cross from N'Golo Kante and both the teams went into the half-time 2-2.
The second half at Stamford Bridge remained goalless, however, both teams made excellent attempts on the opposition's post but failed to break the deadlock.
The result meant Manchester City remained at the top with a clear 10 points advantage over second-placed Chelsea, who have 43 points from 21 games. Meanwhile, Liverpool are one point behind the Blues with one game in hand.
