English Clubs Chelsea and Manchester United both registered victories in their first games back after the World Cup break.

Kai Havertz & Mason Mount were on target as the Blues registered a 2-0 win over Bournemouth.

However, Chelsea suffered a big blow in the form of Reece James. James, who missed the World Cup with a knee injury, sparked fears of a recurrence after he limped off in the 53rd minute.

In the other game on Tuesday night, Manchester United started life without Cristiano Ronaldo on a bright note.

Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial & Fred, all scored as the Red Devils cruised to a 3-0 victory against Nottingham Forest.
