Mikel Arteta tests positive, to miss Premier League games

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has tested positive for Covid-19 and will now miss their upcoming Manchester City match which will be played on Saturday, confirmed the English club.

Arteta is currently isolating as per government guidelines, Arsenal informed. He has tested positive for Covid-19 for the second time. Crystal Palace's Patrick Vieira and Aston Villa's Steven Gerrard have also tested positive. 

A number of matches in the Premier League got postponed due to the Omicron scare. Gunners' match against Wolves was also pushed back after a few players in the Wolves camp had contracted the virus.
