7-time Ballon d'or winner Lionel Messi is considering a move to his childhood club Newell's Old Boys according to his long-time Argentina teammate and close friend Sergio Aguero.

Aguero said, “He is seriously considering the possibility of playing for Newell’s."

While Aguero feels the move is possible, Messi's other former teammate Maxi Rodrigues laughed off the news and said that he doesn't want to put out a big ball of rumour out there.

Messi is currently on a two-year deal with PSG till June 2023. As talks about his future at PSG continue, the Argentine World Cup-winning star could be seen playing at a different club at the end of this summer.
