Real Madrid reinforced their dominance as they pipped Mallorca 3-0 at the Iberostar Stadium on Monday.

Despite a strong resistance by the home side in the first half, the league leaders broke into the scene in the 55th minute when Madrid's star Karim Benzema assisted Vinicius Junior to get the opener for his side. Gradually Carlo Ancelloti's men gained the momentum as Karim Benzema further hurt the hosts by scoring 2 goals back to back in the 77th and the 80th minute, making it a conclusive 3-0. This was the 34th goal of the season for the French football ace, the maximum by any player in Europe's top leagues.

With the win, Real Madrid further strengthened their top spot, moving 10 points ahead of 2nd placed Sevilla. Mallorca stand in 16th place on the points table.
