Although Argentina's Lionel Messi wants to associate himself with his beloved former team Barcelona in future, he does not want to return for now.
The 35-year-old in an interview with a Spanish news outlet accepted that while he really wanted to return and was very excited about the prospect but he said that he was afraid of facing the same problems again.
He told Mundo Deportiva, 'I really wanted to return [to Barcelona], I was very excited to be able to return, but, on the other hand, after having experienced what I experienced when I left, I didn't want to be in the same situation again. I didn't want to leave my future in someone else's hands.
The 6-time Ballon d'Or champion who has recently left Paris Saint Germain after the completion of his 2-year contract also noted that while he had heard La Liga had accepted everything, he said there were still some other things that need to happen.
'Although I heard that it was said that La Liga had accepted everything and that everything was fine for me to return, there were still many other things that had to happen.'
He also told the news outlet that he had heard that to bring him the club will have to reduce players' salaries or sell players, which he said, he did not want.

While he acknowledged his sound relation with Xavi he accepted that he spoke very little with President Laporta.
