French prosecutors have opened a preliminary investigation into a rape accusation against Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi.
The investigation is being led by the prosecutor's office in Paris' Nanterre suburb, which is yet to provide details about the accusation. PSG officials also haven't responded to requests for comment and Hakimi too hasn't publicly said anything about the accusation.
The 24-year-old appeared on stage at the FIFA Awards in Paris on Monday evening and was honoured as part of the player-voted men's World XI.
