English club Everton have sacked manager Frank Lampard after their 2-0 loss to fellow Premier League strugglers West Ham United.

The loss on Saturday was Everton’s 9th defeat in the last 12 league games and the Merseyside club is currently second from bottom with just 15 points from 20 matches.

Lampard’s reign lasted less than a year at Goodison Park even though he helped Everton avoid relegations last term, having taken over from Rafael Benitez in January 2022.

The Toffees are now in the market for their sixth permanent manager in five years.
