The Netherlands are through to the last 16 of the FIFA World Cup 2022 after a routine 2-0 win against hosts Qatar at the Al Bayt Stadium in Qatar, on Tuesday.

Goals from Cody Gakpo and Frenkie De Jong in the 26th and 49th minute respectively helped the Oranje take the top spot in Group A and will be looking forward to the knockout stages now.

Hosts Qatar are the first host nation to lose all of their group stage games in the World Cup and will surely be disappointed by the team's performance in their campaign.

The Dutch will be delighted with the form of their young striker Cody Gakpo who has now scored a goal in each of their 3 games and is a probable contender for the Golden boot as well.
