Just days after his bombshell interview criticising Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, Cristiano Ronaldo missed Portugal's training session because of a stomach bug on Wednesday.

The 37-year-old will miss Thursday's warm-up game against Nigeria with gastroenteritis, despite having trained the previous two days with the national team.

Fernando Santos' side will begin their FIFA World Cup 2022 campaign against Ghana on November 24 before facing Uruguay and South Korea in Group H.
