FIFA will pay around ₹3000 crore to European football clubs who will send their players for the football World Cups in 2026 and 2030.

European Club Association chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi confirmed the development and called it a landmark agreement.

News agency Reuters reported that the fee had been hiked nearly 70 per cent than the last deal and FIFA will be paying $355 million instead of $209 million that they did for the 2018 and 2022 competitions.

FIFA had earlier announced a 32-team Club World Cup every 4 years, starting June 2025.
