The International Federation of Association of Football (FIFA) has provisionally suspended the Spanish football body's president Luis Rubiales who had forcibly kissed Jenni Hermoso on her lips during the medal ceremony of the World Cup.
FIFA in its statement said, 'the suspension which will be effective as of August 26th is for an initial period of 90 days pending the disciplinary committee's findings.'
He has been provisionally suspended from all football-related activities at national and international level.
Rubiales against whom a disciplinary proceeding has been launched by the global football body had refused to resign from his post earlier.
