FIFA honours Sunil Chhetri for his achievements, releases three-episode series on his life

In a major honour for Sunil Chhetri, FIFA has released a three-episode series on the life and career of talismanic Indian football team captain.

World football's governing body named the series as 'Captain Fantastic' and the 3 episodes are available on its streaming platform FIFA+. 

FIFA tweeted to say, 'You know all about Ronaldo and Messi, now get the definitive story of the third highest scoring active men's international.'

Following the announcement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated Chhetri and tweeted to say 'this will certainly boost football's popularity in India.'

Chhetri is the 3rd-highest active goal scorer with 84 international goals, behind Cristiano Ronaldo (117) and Lionel Messi (90). Chhetri made his India debut in 2005 and since then has played in 131 matches.
