It will be Argentina against France once again as Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema were shortlisted for FIFA's best player of the year award.
Winning the FIFA World Cup with Argentina makes Lionel Messi the prime contender for the award against Mbappe who had a superb World cup campaign as well.
The current Ballon D'or holder Benzema is the third nomination in the shortlist.The winner is decided by a jury comprised of the coach and captain of every men's national team and one journalist from each country, but fans can also vote.
