FIFA asks Brazil and Argentina to replay their World Cup qualifier match

FIFA ordered Brazil and Argentina to replay the World Cup qualifier game that was abandoned after health officials stormed the field to question the quarantine status of players.

In addition, FIFA also asked the Brazilian Football Association to pay $600,000 for failing to comply with its obligations leading into the match preparations.

Meanwhile, FIFA has suspended four Argentine players and fined Argentinian Football Association $270,000.

FIFA has not set a date or venue for Brazil vs Argentina fixture yet.

Notably, both teams have already qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
