Former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel finally broke his silence following his sudden departure from the 2021 UEFA Champions League winners after a period of 19 months.

The German International got sacked by the Chelsea board last week which came as a surprise to many fans around the world.

Tuchel said that he felt devastated after his departure and had not expected that he would be leaving the club so soon as he felt at home in Chelsea both professionally and personally.

The sack came soon after the London club got beaten 0-1 away at Dinamo Zagreb in a group stage match in the UEFA Champions League.

Thomas Tuchel took to his Twitter account to express his feelings towards the situation. However, the 49-year-old also stated that it was an honour to be a part of the club's history and that he would always keep those memories in his heart.
