Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) coach Christophe Galtier and his son have been taken into custody as part of an investigation into allegations of racism at Galtier's former club Nice.

The 56-year-old, who is currently in the process of leaving PSG but still under contract, has denied the accusations of making racist and anti-Muslim comments during his time with his former club.

On Friday morning, Galtier and his son, John Valovic-Galtier, were detained for questioning. The investigation stems from a leaked email from former Nice director of football Julien Fournier to the club's owners, in which Fournier accused Galtier of expressing that there were too many Black and Muslim players in the team.

Galtier, through his lawyer, released a statement to the French media expressing his shock and disbelief at the "insulting and defamatory" report. He also stated his intention to take legal action, although the specific actions were not specified.
