Tottenham was looking for its 2nd straight victory of the Champions League when they took the field in Portugal on Tuesday but Sporting Lisbon stunned them with a 2-0 defeat.

The Spurs failed to convert several chances and looked on course to earn a point before the tables turned in the dying minutes. Paulinho broke the deadlock in the 91st minute before Arthur Gomes sealed an emphatic 2-0 victory in the 93rd minute.

While Sporting are top of Group D on 6 points after two victories, Tottenham are second on three points.
