The splendid Manchester City ousted Bayern Munich from the Champions League to set up a semifinal date against 14-time winners and the defending champions Real Madrid.

Pep Guardiola's men who entered the 2nd leg with a 3-0 lead beat a passionate Bayern Munich in Germany with a 4-1 aggregate win. Erling Haaland who missed a first-half penalty scored his 48th goal of the season in the 57th minute. Joshua Kimmich's penalty in the 83rd minute made it a futile 1-1 in the 2nd leg as the English team marched on to the next round.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan saw off the Benfica challenge to set up an all-Italian semifinal as they meet city rivals AC Milan in the next game.

Simone Ingazhi's men with a 2-0 lead from the first leg progressed with a 5-3 aggregate win at San Siro. A desperate Benfica refused to give-up as they played a 3-3 draw against Milan. While Nicolo Barella, Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa found the net for the hosts, Fredrick Aursnes, Antonio Silva and Peter Musa scored for the Eagles.
