German Champions Bayern Munich have signed Netherlands centre-back Matthijs de Ligt from Juventus in a €77 million deal.

After spending three seasons in Turin, the 22-year-old has signed a 5-year contract with Bayern.

While Chelsea were also interested in the young defender, he chose Bayern over the Blues. He had joined Juventus from Ajax back in 2019.

De Ligt is the second Dutch international after midfielder Ryan Gravenberch to sign for the Bundesliga giants this summer.
