League leaders Arsenal earned the bragging rights in North London with a dominant 3-1 win over rivals Tottenham in the English Premier League.

It was the home side Arsenal who took the lead with a stunning goal from midfielder Thomas Partey in the 20th minute. Tottenham though restored parity when Harry Kane slotted home from the penalty spot after Gabriel Magalhaes fouled Richarlison in the box.

The scores were level at half-time but a Hugo Lloris error saw Gabriel Jesus becoming the perfect poacher to give his side a 2-1 lead in the 49th minute.

The situation became bleak for Spurs in the 62nd minute when Emerson Royal was sent off for putting his studs down on Gabriel Martinelli's ankle.

And 5 minutes later, Arsenal put the game to bed with Granit Xhaka's cool finish beating the Tottenham goalkeeper.

While Arsenal had other chances, they couldn't add on to their score. But with their 7th win from 8 games this season, the Gunners ensured they stay top of the table after another gameweek.
