Argentina's World Cup-winning goalkeeper to visit India

Argentina's FIFA World Cup-winning goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez is set to come to India in early July. 

The Aston Villa player who won the Golden Gloves in the FIFA World Cup 2022 is being invited by sports promoter Satadru Dutta, who had also made legendary Pele and Maradona visit India's City of Joy, Kolkata. 

Dutta said, 'Tentative dates for the visit are June 20-21 and July 1-3. Everything has been signed and the final dates will be announced soon'

Martinez too, will be coming to Kolkata to participate in a Maradona memorial event. He has been invited as the chief guest for a charity match which is being organised by the Mohun Bagan club.

As per Dutta, the 30-year-old will also be meeting the West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly.
