England batter Jason Roy is all set to cancel his central contract with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in order to play in the upcoming Major League Cricket (MLC) in the United States.

According to the DailyMail, Roy is expected to sign a two-year contract with MLC side Los Angeles Knight Riders for the next two years and could possibly lose his England spot for the 2023 ODI World Cup as a consequence of this move.

If the 32-year-old batter goes ahead with this decision, he will become the first England player to cancel his central contract in order to focus on T20 leagues around the world.
