Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara have hurt Australia the most in the past and Ricky Ponting feels that the Aussies would want to get them out early in the World Test Championship final.

In The ICC Review, the former Australia skipper said that the Kangaroos will be talking about Virat and Pujara.

'Pujara has been a thorn in their side a lot in the past, and in Australia, and this wicket will potentially be a lot more like an Australian pitch. They know that they'll have to get him early,' feels Punter.

Ponting added that Virat told him that he's almost back to his best, and that's an ominous warning for the Australians going into a one-off game.

Kohli is coming off a fantastic IPL 2023 where he scored 639 runs in 14 matches for RCB.

In the 4-match Test series vs Australia at home earlier this year, Virat scored a gritty 186 in Ahmedabad.
