WTC final 2023: Yashasvi Jaiswal to join Team India as stand-by

After terrific performances in IPL 2023 and the domestic season, Yashasvi Jaiswal is reportedly set to join Team India in England as a standby player for the upcoming WTC final which will begin on 7th June. 

The Mumbai-based batter is set to replace Ruturaj Gaikwad who will be missing the marquee tournament due to his wedding which will reportedly happen on 3rd or 4th of June. Other standby players for the Men in Blue are Suryakumar Yadav and Mukesh Kumar. 

The 21-year-old Rajasthan batter who was one of the brightest spots in Sanju Samson's squad scored 625 runs in 14 league matches.
