WTC Final 2023 to be Rohit Sharma's 50th Test

Indian captain Rohit Sharma is set to play his 50th Test when Men in Blue take on Pat Cummins' Australian team at the Oval in the marquee World Test championship final 2023. 

Sharma, who made his Test debut in 2013 has scored 3379 runs in 49 games at an average of almost 46. The WTC final will also be a special match for him as it will be his first overseas Test as a captain. All 6 Tests, he has captained so far have happened at home, out of these India have registered victories in 4 and have lost 1. 

The 36-year-old became an opener in 2019 and is currently only 27 runs away from completing 13,000 runs in international cricket as an opener. As an opening batter, Rohit averages 52.7 and has collected 6 tons and 4 fifties from 36 innings. 

India who will face the Australian team in London will hope to end their decade long trophy-drought by clinching their first-ever Test mace.
