BCCI is mulling hosting the entire inaugural Women's IPL in Mumbai, as per a Cricbuzz report. A member of the IPL governing council told Cricbuzz that seeing the success of last year's IPL which was held mostly in Mumbai, the council is considering the proposal of having the WIPL in Mumbai only.

The inaugural edition of a 5-team Women's IPL is likely to be held from March 3rd to 26th, before the Men's IPL, which is expected to begin from 1st April.

While the franchises are yet to be decided, Mumbai is being reportedly considered as a viable option to curtail the travel cost. The 3 stadiums in Mumbai - Brabourne, DY Patil and Wankhede had hosted several games during IPL 15.
