The women's IPL is likely to be called the Women's T20 League and five teams will be formed through a player auction, which may take place in February.
According to the documents accessed by ESPNcricinfo, the last date for Indian players' registration is January 26 till 5 pm IST.
With the base price for capped Indian players set at ₹30 lakh, ₹40 lakh and ₹50 lakh, players can register for the Women's T20 League directly with their state associations.

Meanwhile, the base price for uncapped players has been capped at ₹10 lakh and ₹20 lakh.
If reports have to be believed, Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Punjab Kings are interested in acquiring a team for the women's IPL.
