West Indies' newest entrant Shamar Joseph will don the Lucknow Super Giants jersey for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League, a statement revealed on February 10.

Playing for the Lucknow-based franchise marks the youngster's IPL debut as well.

Joseph impressed with his exploits against Australia in Tests, including a 7-wicket haul to rally his team to victory, and will replace speedster Mark Wood in LSG.

As per the statement, Joseph has been signed on for INR 3 crore as Wood was pulled out by the English and Wales Cricket Board to manage his workload ahead of the T20 World Cup in June.

In an extremely short Test career of just two matches, the 24-year-old has bagged 13 wickets.
