Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin came up with a blunt statement on Indian cricket while commending the performance of Australia's Cameron Green in the 4th Test against India saying that players like Cameron are well groomed in Australia or England whereas the same can't be said with the Indian players.

"India is very different. We can't protect such players for longer periods of time. It is perform or perish (in India). In countries like Australia and England, these cricketers are groomed pretty well. Expect Cameron Green to be a wonderful cricketer down the line," He added.

Ashwin who dismissed Green in the first innings after his 114-run knock,  said that the big amount that the all-rounder fetched at the 2023 IPL auction showed how valuable he is.

Cameron Green's 114 runs off 170 balls helped the Aussies put up a strong total of 480 in the first innings of the 4th Test.
