The 50-year old also chatted with Rory McIlroy before the four-time major winner's opening round.
Tendulkar's record of 49 One-Day International centuries was surpassed on Wednesday by fellow countryman Virat Kohli, as India claimed a place in the 2023 Men's World Cup final.
