Former Pakistani captain Wasim Akram has criticized the national team's management, raising concerns about Pakistan's team director, Mickey Arthur, being in Derbyshire instead of being present in Sri Lanka for the crucial Asia Cup 2023 matches.
These remarks by Wasim Akram came on a significant day when Pakistan are facing Sri Lanka in a must-win match, essentially a virtual semifinal to determine who would advance to the final against India.

During an appearance on Star Sports, Akram voiced his displeasure, stating, "Our team director is in Derbyshire and tweeting about county games instead of being here with the Pakistani team in the Asia Cup."
Team director Mickey Arthur, who previously held the position of head coach for the Men in Green, is currently dividing his time between the Pakistan team and the English county side Derbyshire, where he serves as the head coach.
