Amid reports of Virat Kohli's mother being ill doing the rounds, former India captain's brother Vikas Kohli put all those speculations to rest.

He took to his Instagram account and wrote, 'I have noticed that there's this fake news about our mom's health being circulating around. Let me clear that our mom is absolutely fit and fine. Also, I would request everyone and also the media, not to spread such news without proper information.'

Vikas Kohli's clarification came after some fans and even a few media houses reported that Virat took time off cricket to be with his mother, who was reportedly not keeping well.

The former India captain pulled out of the first 2 Tests against England just 3 days before the start of the series citing personal reasons.

Virat was also set to attend the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony on January 22 but wasn't spotted in Ayodhya.
