In a heartwarming gesture just ahead of the India-Pakistan clash in the Asia Cup 2023, a Sri Lankan cricketer has given Indian cricket superstar Virat Kohli a silver bat adorned with engravings of all 76 centuries he has scored in international cricket.
Chandramohan Krishanath, a local net bowler assisting the Indian team in their preparations for the high-stakes game, expressed his delight at meeting the former Indian captain. He shared that he had first met the Indian stalwart back in 2017.
Krishanth, a devoted fan of Virat Kohli, took it upon himself to craft a special bat for the cricket legend. This unique silver bat features intricate engravings of each of Kohli's remarkable 76 international centuries.
"I am a big fan of Virat Kohli. The last time I met him was in 2017 during a net practice session. This is my small gift to him. This bat contains every century that he has scored to date. It took me three months to carve this bat," Chandramohan explained to ANI.
