Virat Kohli is on the cusp of another monumental feat in his illustrious international career as he prepares to join the prestigious club alongside Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni.

The second Test of the India-West Indies series promises to be a momentous occasion as Virat Kohli dons the India jersey for the 500th time, a remarkable milestone in a career adorned with triumphs and greatness.

This incredible accomplishment propels Kohli into an elite group of only four Indians and ten players worldwide to achieve the prestigious 500 international caps milestone.

He joins the revered ranks of Sachin Tendulkar, the record-holder with 664 appearances, alongside former captain MS Dhoni (538) and current coach Rahul Dravid (509).

With an extraordinary tally of 75 centuries, he secures the second position in cricket history, surpassing Ricky Ponting's 71, but still trailing behind the legendary century record of Sachin Tendulkar.

Having played over 100 matches in all three formats, Kohli also stands as only the second player, following Ross Taylor, to achieve this feat during his 100th T20I against Pakistan in the Asia Cup last August.

Kohli's remarkable ability to adapt to different formats has been pivotal in his extraordinary cricketing journey. He now stands above four other cricketers who retired in the 490s—Steve Waugh, Muttiah Muralitharan, Tillakaratne Dilshan, and Inzamam ul-Haq, with the former Pakistani captain missing the milestone by just one match.

At the age of 34, Kohli continues to be a run-machine and an icon of the sporting world, remaining a vital asset to the Indian team. The Indian superstar will be determined to make his 500th appearance a memorable one by scoring his first overseas Test ton in 5 years, in addition to securing a series victory for India.
