Aaron Finch spoke highly of Tim David after the Singapore-born all-rounder was named in Australia's T20 World Cup squad for the host country's defence of its title beginning in late October.

Tim David burst onto the cricketing scene with some explosive knocks for the Mumbai Indians in IPL 2022. The 5-time champions had bought the power hitter for a whopping sum of ₹8.25 crore.

Meanwhile, Australia also rested star opener David Warner for the 3-match T20I series against India, beginning September 20. He was replaced by Cameron Green as part of 'a managed period of preparation for a full summer schedule.' Warner though is a part of the World T20 squad.
