Tilak Varma, the dynamic southpaw who scored his maiden T20I half-century against West Indies on August 6, had a unique celebration up his sleeve and it was for someone special.

Speaking after the match, Varma revealed that the celebration was for Indian captain Rohit Sharma's daughter Samaira, who the 20-year-old is very close to.

'It was for Sammy (Samaira) because we're very close so I had promised her that whenever I score a century or half-century, I'll do a celebration for her.'

Moments after Varma scored his first fifty he turned to the cameras, showing thumbs up with both his hands.

Rohit Sharma and Tilak Varma are also colleagues at the IPL franchise Mumbai Indians and photos of Varma and other MI players interacting with each others' families have been shared on social media very often.
