A U-turn from Tamim Iqbal!

Bangladesh ODI captain Tamim Iqbal, who had announced his retirement 24 hours ago through a press conference, has now withdrawn his decision to retire from international cricket.

It was Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's intervention that made Tamim go back on his decision to quit playing cricket for his country. Former captain Mashrafe Mortaza & Bangladesh Cricket Board President Nazmul Hassan were also present in the meeting between the PM and Tamim.

Earlier, in the wake of Tamim Iqbal's sudden retirement announcement, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had picked Litton Das to lead the side in the remaining two ODIs against Afghanistan. However, it seems Tamim will now stay on as captain till the ODI World Cup at least.
