Suryakumar Yadav nominated for ICC Men's T20I Cricketer of the year award

Suryakumar Yadav, the highest run-getter in T20Is in 2022 has been nominated for ICC Men's T20I cricketer of the year, along with Sam Curran, Mohd Rizwan and Sikandar Raza.

The hard-hitting Indian batter had a sensational 2022 as he became only the second batter in T20I history to score more than 1000 runs in a calendar year.

He scored 1164 runs at a strike rate of 187.43 in 31 matches in 2022.

Surya will get tough competition for the prestigious award from England's Curran, who was Player of the T20 World Cup and Pakistan's Mohd Rizwan.

The Pakistani batter scored 996 runs in 2022.
