When Team India took the field on Day 4 of the 2nd Test vs England on Monday, there was no sign of Shubman Gill.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in an official update stated, 'Shubman Gill hurt his right index finger while fielding on Day 2. He won't be taking the field today.'
In his absence, Sarfaraz Khan is on the field on Day 4.
Gill has been a live wire in the field for India. After a dominating century in Vizag, he took 4 stunning catches in England's 1st innings.
