Shakib Al Hasan hints at taking retirement from T20Is after 2022 world cup

Bangladesh's most successful cricketer Shakib Al Hasan has been contemplating taking retirement from one of the formats as playing all three seems impossible for the all-rounder.

In an interview with a Dhaka-based TV channel, former Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan said that he might stop playing T20I cricket after the 2022 World Cup.

He further added that he can play Tests and ODIs but playing all three formats is close to impossible.

The 34-year all-rounder also said that he will plan it with Bangladesh Cricket Board and then go forward.

Shakib has scored 12,523 runs across formats & has also been Bangladesh's highest wicket-taker in international cricket. He picked up 215 wickets in Tests while 277 and 177 in ODIs and T20Is respectively.
