Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi has tested positive for Covid-19 just hours before the start of the Pakistan Super League on January 27.

Afridi, who was all set to play for his 4th franchise in the PSL, the Quetta Gladiators, will now isolate at his home. The 41-year-old can return to play in the league after completing his quarantine period and after returning a negative RT-PCR test.

The star all-rounder has played 50 matches in the PSL and scored 465 runs across his stints for 3 franchises. He has also picked 44 wickets in the league.
