Sam Curran reveals why he will not take part in IPL 2022

England all-rounder Sam Curran who played only a handful of matches in the 2021 edition of the cash-rich Indian Premier League revealed the reason behind opting out of the upcoming mega auction which will take place on Feb 12th ad 13th. 

The 23-year-old cricketer who played for Chennai Super Kings suffered a lower back injury during the 2021 season and was forced to cut the season short. 

In his Twitter post, Curran wrote that he was advised to not enter the IPL auction this year and to focus on his rehabilitation. He informed that while he is back in the nets, he will take some more time and will likely start the season with Surrey. 

Big names like Ben Stokes, Chris Gayle, Jofra Archer have opted out of the mega-auctions for the upcoming IPL.
