S Sreesanth is all set to make a comeback to the Ranji Trophy as the veteran pacer has been included in Kerala's 24-member preliminary squad.

Sreesanth last played a first-class match in 2013 when he featured in the Irani Cup for Rest of India vs Mumbai. Sreesanth was suspended from all cricketing activities for his alleged involvement in the 2013 IPL spot-fixing scam. He made a comeback last season after the ban ended but opted out of the Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Hazare Trophy.

The preliminary camp will be held in Wayanad from Thursday. Kerala has been placed in Group B along with Bengal, Vidarbha, Rajasthan, Haryana and Tripura and will play its first game on January 13.
