Former India batter Sanjay Manjrekar is of the opinion that India skipper Rohit Sharma will be uncomfortable playing under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya in IPL.

In a surprising change of guard at the Mumbai Indians, Hardik Pandya was named captain after his return from Gujarat Titans, stripping Sharma of his long-standing leadership role.

Speaking on a Star Sports show, Manjrekar remarked, 'It's going to be tricky. Hardik Pandya is a guy who has got a bit of a swag. He will carry that into the Mumbai Indians dressing room as well. And it will a bit uncomfortable because Rohit Sharma might have thought, he will get one more year as captain.

He also believed that Suryakumar Yadav might also have something similar in his mind, that he might have been able to lead Mumbai Indians this season, adding that Hardik Pandya won't let that affect him and that it will be entertaining.

Indian Premier League, season 17 gets underway from March 22.
